WINTER

The fun doesn’t stop when summer ends. At Nethercraig we are perfectly located to enjoy all the delights of winter - including snow sports!

Unlike most holiday parks, Nethercraig is open 11 months of the year meaning we are open for most of the winter season. Access to the park in winter is usually good, due to our road being high priority for the snow ploughs.

Depending on the year snowfall can begin as early as October and snow can be skiable from then right through until March/April. We are forty minutes from Glenshee Ski Centre, Scotland’s most extensive ski centre and an all time favourite of the locals. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced skier/boarder, Glenshee has something for everyone. There are even free slopes surrounding the car park that are fantastic for sledging. See the Glenshee website for more information: www.ski-glenshee.co.uk

Winter Accommodation

Our glamping pods are built to the highest standards with an extra thick 4” of insulation making them suitable for year-round use. These pods are naturally warm but we do supply heaters which heat the pod up incredibly quickly. There’s nothing nicer than sitting with a cup of tea in a warm pod gazing out at the cold, snowy landscape around you. We know the worst thing about going skiing is the cold, soggy kit afterwards  but our tumble driers will have your clothes dried and warmed in no time!

Our holiday homes and lodges are designed and built for year round use. They have central heating and feature fire places to curl up next to after a day out in the snow. You can’t beat that winter feeling of coming back to a warm, comfortable bed after a long day out in the cold. We know the worst thing about going skiing is the cold, soggy kit afterwards but our tumble driers will have your clothes dried and warmed in no time!

We are shut from the 13th January to the 14th February.

Please note that we cannot guarantee snowfall or snow conditions. Please check the weather forecast.
